The latest addition to my wardrobe is this beautiful playsuit from Long Tall Sally’s curated line! The new collection from Long Tall Sally is stunning and 22 piece edit fresh from the runway! The line is full of gorgeous pieces which are perfect if you’re looking to create a timeless wardrobe. This item is the perfect mix of a playsuit and dress, the long material at the back makes this item feel elegant and graceful while the shorts add practicality and a rocker edge.

Long Tall Sally is a new brand for me but so far I’ve been incredibly impressed with the styles and quality! I’ll definitely adding more pieces to my wardrobe soon! Here I’ve styled it with my staple black boots also from Long Tall Sally, simple earring from Mango and a long delicate pendant necklace from & Other Stories.

Autumn is finally here! I have to admit I love Autumn, summer has its perks of slip on shoes and light jackets but thick coat, chunky knits and berry tones is my idea of heaven!

I’ve recently invested in a few staple pieces for the season and I thought now would be the perfect time to showcase them.

Firstly, ankle boots! My love of ankle boots transcends most seasons, especially a simple black pair – they go with everything, they look great and if they have a heels they make you feel powerful as you’re
stamping from A to B. I recently bought this gorgeous pair from Long Tall Sally! They are classic black heeled ankle boots, which are super comfy and fit perfectly into my Autumn wardrobe (they are slowly becoming my ‘go to’ shoe especially as they are smart enough to wear into the office.) I’ve only recently become aware of the brand but I can tell already they are going to become a favourite! The new curated collection is definitely something I’ll be investing in.

Embroidery, you can’t flip a page in a magazine without seeing something which as been embroidered, whether it be shoes, a jacket or a bag! So, as many self respecting fashion lover does I decided to jump on the trend and pick up this beautiful skirt from River Island – a simple black skirt with a twist! It’s the perfect way to add a pop of colour into your Autumn wardrobe and is bang on trend.

What wardrobe would be complete without a camel coat, I picked up this long camel coat from Next a little while ago and though it is slightly big on me I still love it – perfect for wrapping up in the chilly Manchester wind and pairing with anything from a winter floral dress to a pair of jeans. I think it’s really important to invest in a good quality coat since winter lasts a little longer in old blighty (especially Manchester) and a good coat can last you a number of years if you treat it well! Trends are often recycled therefore if you pick a classic well made coat you are sure you see the return on investment.

Finally, Winter florals! What is more perfect than dark florals and berry tones?! I picked up this dress from Silkfred recently and i’m in love! Once again, it is slightly big on me due to a little weight loss (RESULT) but the print and feel of the dress is stunning and it is honestly one of my favourite pieces to throw on – I love to pair it with black ankle boots (see above!) and a faux leather jacket! Perfect day glam look for Autumn/Winter!

If there is one thing I’m good at and I can do really well it’s shopping! I recently bought this bright swing dress as a bit of a treat to put a smile back on my face after a long week! I love how bright and summery this dress is and it can be styled in so many ways.

The first look is quite a casual outfit which you could wear day to day – whether you’re shopping, going for a drink or seeing friends, I’ve decided to style the dress with a flat pair of trainers from Topshop, an oversized denim jacket and back pack both from Topshop! I love this look as it really relaxed while still looking chic.

The second look is for that cheeky drink after work or on a Saturday evening, trading the trainer for a pair of lace up heels from Topshop (seeing a pattern here), a leather look jacket and if you’re looking enough for the beer garden weather some lush sunglasses you’re definitely onto a winner! A simple dress which can be wore so many ways.

What You Actually Need For A Festival!

Leave the oversized hats, booty shorts and flower crowns at home, they might scream festival but they also scream a serious inconvenience! Don’t get me wrong, I love a good hat but if it get wet or dirty it just becomes a pain to carry around. It you’re festivalling abroad or in a hot destination then you can ignore some of this advice, however, if you’re hitting the likes of V Fest, Creamfields, Isle Of Wight, Reading or Glastonbury then here what you actually need for a festival.

A portable phone charger, depending on the length of your festival stay you might need a couple to keep your phone powered up, the festival will have a phone charging station but they charge by the hour and they charge A LOT! You can buy these from stores like Currys, PC World and Amazon etc.

A rain coat! Hey, you might get lucky and miss the rain altogether but if you’re heading to somewhere in the UK then you’re probably going to get some rain and nothing kills your dancing around like I just don’t care than getting soaking wet – it isn’t cute and it certainly isn’t fun. I love this raincoat from Topshop it’s has the perfect festival vibe.

A good pair of leggings will see you through any festival, whether they are your PJs your to and from the shower look, your after party comfy look or however you choose to style them but you definitely can’t wrong with leggings.

There are two ways you can play your tenting situation, the easy way is to get a pop up tent, release the tent from the bag and your home away from home is up and running, however, I suggest investing in a proper tent (with a porch) the perfect place to hide from the rain and chill out in the morning before the gets started.

Last but certainly not least remember to pack your wellies! They are a festival must have especially if you’re heading to somewhere like Glastonbury – with so many different styles you’re sure to find something you like, I personally prefer the high ones but ankle wellies are also available. (p.s remember to buy a good pair of socks to go with them – the blisters from wellies can be painful!)

Here are some of my favourite festival looks!

Gymtote Review

Laptop, purse, keys, lunch, make-up, flats (just in case), water bottle, notebook… the list of the items I keep in my everyday bag just goes on and on and travelling by public transport to work means lugging one more bag can be a serious hassle! A tram packed full of people is not my idea of fun so packing my gym kit for the journey became less and less idea which in turn meant I stopped bringing it (yes, I know this is a first world problem but going to the gym and working out is great for my mental health and something I really enjoy). I knew my journey to work wasn’t going to change so I needed a solution to my bag dilemma but I just didn’t know where to start and then one day when I was flicking through the pages of a glossy magazine there it was a ‘Gymtote’ a bag with enough compartment and selection to put all of my everyday essentials and my gym kit and as an added bonus the bag looked gorgeous, basically it’s a tote bag in disguis

As someone who works in PR I’m often in meetings and I like to go out for drinks after work so a back pack wasn’t going to do and then flicking through the pages of a glossy magazine I saw it.. the gymtote! The solution to all my first world problems.

As someone who carries too many notes and documents I picked the Sophia Tote which features a yoga mat holder and an A4 document pocket! Perfect right?

The Gymtote is a trademarked design, therefore you can’t find a copy of this bag anywhere, the bag is also water-resistant and comes with breathable sections for your trainers and gym kit and a upright water bottle holder (spillage disaster adverted). The back of the Sophia also has a little pocket for your iPod/phone/music player with a smaller hole for your earphone wire to pop through – another plus for this bag.. I often find new compartments on the bag.. its never-ending.

Overall I love the gym tote it looks great and can fit everything and the kitchen sink into it, it has made my life so much easier and I had so many compliments on the bag itself. I’ll definitely be using the gymtote for a long time to come and I can’t wait to see the exciting style the brand comes out with next.

New Winter Purchases

I love refreshing my wardrobe and adding new pieces each season. Over the last year I’ve really been developing my style and trying clothes which I use to be intimidated by, I’ve really started to have fun with fashion and experimenting with it. Here are my favourite winter purchases which I hope I can transition into Spring and Summer.

As I’ve mentioned in previous blog posts I am crazy for heeled ankle boots, I think they look smart but can easily be worn to drinks after work. They are definitely a wardrobe staple for anytime of the year. I purchased these boots in Black but I also think heeled boots work in any colour.

I love this dress – it’s really comfortable and can be dressed up or down. I like to wear it with black tights and black ankle boots. I was drawn to the embellishments stitched on to the dress as it really stands out and is different to anything else I owe. I bought it in the Warehouse sale for an amazing price.

I’ve had my eye of this dress for a while but wasn’t sure if I could pull it off. I decided to take the plunge and bought the dress for an important meeting I had as I knew I had to impress. I paired it with my black heeled ankle boots and a black coat/bag. I got a lot of compliments about the dress, the movement of the dress is light and it flows with ease. It can be layered up for those colder days and worn with a light jacket for those hot Summer days.

Miss Guided

I bought this jumper at the beginning of winter to add to my workwear wardrobe and fell in love! It’s a baggy crop jumper with a graphic design on it and I love to wear it with black cigarette trousers!

In The Style

In the past I’ve never been crazy about shoes or more exact shoe shopping, but thanks to online shopping I am obsessed!! I recently bought these open toe fringe boots and I love them, they are great to wear with jeans, trousers and dresses and they were really affordable.

River Island

This is one of my favourite purchases from my winter splurge, normally I have been a boots/dolly girl when it comes to shoes but I decided to try something different in 2016. They are super comfortable and easy to wear! I wear them with little trainer socks so I don’t get blisters and often wear them if I’m running about or heading to the gym after work – I’ll definitely be adding more of these to my wardrobe. I’m excited to try and style these with different outfits and mix them into my wardrobe more.

When the Culotte phrase first started I really wasn’t on board. I have a small waist and big hips therefore I thought they would make my hips/thighs look even bigger. This all changed when I went shopping to find an outfit for an event with limited time and came across this gorgeous jumpsuit, it fit really well on my waist and fell at just the right point on my leg. It’s an outfit I’ve worn throughout the party season and can’t wait to wear again.
